ELIGIBILITY RULES

  • All nominees must have significant Guilford County connections.

  • Athletes, Coaches, Officials, Sports Writers, Broadcasters or any person who has made or is making a major contribution to the development of sports and is of the HIGHEST moral character shall be eligible.

  • Persons either living (Laureates) or deceased (Legends) are eligible for induction.

  • Nominees will remain eligible for ten (10) years after their first nomination and can be re-nominated.

  • The decision of the Board of Directors will be final.

  • Inductees must commit to attend the Guilford County Sports Hall Of Fame reception and banquet during the year of their induction. In the case of selection of Legends, at least one family member must commit to attend the reception and banquet.

  • Nomination are submitted online throughout the year.  Nominations received after March 15 each year will be put into an active nominee file for future consideration.
